Everyday turtles, fish ,crabs and sea animals are found dead or dying because of plastic bags. Plastic bags are petroleum based and they do not break down. When sea animals see plastic bags floating they think it is food. They eat the plastic bags thinking it’s jellyfish. They can't digest the plastic bags and it kills them.
Here are some shocking facts about plastic bags . There are 100 million tons of plastic bags in the oceans. 100 million animals die each year because of plastic bags.
We could help sea creatures by reduce, reuse and recycle plastic bags and by keeping our oceans free from pollution.
I was shocked about the number of sea creatures that die each year because of plastic bags. I think plastic bags should be banned worldwide.
