Dear Prime Minister,

Hello, our names are Sahar and Salma and we go to Owairaka School. We are in Room 8. Our teacher’s name is Miss Green and we are Year 5. We have Garden to Table in our school which is very fun.

Before you go to cook you wear apron so you don't get dirty with all the food you chop. We learn how to use knives and how to hold them carefully. We learn to read recipes carefully.  There was a group that put salt instead of sugar and the muffins tasted awful! Now lots of people in our school are cooking for their families at home.

After you cook the delicious food the gardeners come into the kitchen and we eat it altogether.  The desert is always last to come. We all get to eat muffins and pizza on the last day of the term. Our favourite food all term was the pizza, it's so yum. We also loved the kale chips.

In the garden we plant the seedlings, water the plants and learn how to take care of them. We try some vegetables we have never have eaten before and they tasted interesting.

We think Garden to Table is a very good program.  We would like love you to come and visit our school and see our Garden to Table program. Garden to table is a great experience. We think lots of schools should do it. We think everyone should have a go so we want you to ask the Government to help.

Your sincerely,

Sahar and Salma
